I’m Caitlin…
I’m the Mama to this little angel,
and I call this handsome man mine.
Our first child is Cletus.
I grew up on a small horse farm
and work at a therapeutic riding center.
I’m from western North Carolina
but Dustin and I moved all over the state for his job
our first few years of marriage.
We have always dreamed of
having a small, self-sustaining farm
and now that we are back home and no longer renting
we are making it happen!
We are learning as we go and hope that you
enjoy following along with our adventure!
Hi There,, I own a produce store in Valdese NC. When crops are in season we sell only locally grown pesticide free produce. Upon meeting my new insurance man at Beck Ins in Morganton, I told him of my store and he directed me to you folks when I told him I was having difficulty finding local farms to buy my produce from. I am hoping perhaps you will contact me and we can conduct business together with me buying produce from your farm as it comes into season. Please contact me and let me know if this is possible. My contact number is 828-499-0490. The name of my store is John’s Market on Main. We have a FB so look at our page if you would like to see about us. I am not very computer literate so the FB page is rather limited. I look forward to hearing from you because I really need to get my plans together for where I will be purchasing my produce from this year.
Thank you.
Donna
Thanks for contacting me Donna. We are really excited for this opportunity, I will contact you ASAP!!
Hi! So nice to meet you. Love your about me page and it was so nice to get to know a little bit about you. That first picture of you pregnant is gorgeous! (Well, actually, they all are!) Nice to meet you!
Hey Elizabeth! Thanks for visiting & for the sweet comments! I’m excited to meet you too!
What a fun life! I’m such a city girl and wouldn’t make it on the farm too long but I would love to visit and enjoy one for a change to get away from big buildings and cement.
I love visiting the city, but it’s just too busy for me to live there. I get stressed with all of the traffic at Walmart (but who doesn’t), much less in a big city!
Visiting from the Blog Life group. What a cute family you have! I love that your dog’s name is Cletus. My husband and son call each other that all the time. Looking forward to following along with you!
Thanks for visiting! My husband picked the dog’s name, it’s actually Cletus Woolybugger….where do they come up with this stuff??!! Look forward to getting to know you better thru this group!
What a neat story! Hubby and I used to live out in the country with our own (tiny!) garden and raised our own chickens. I loved it, but I’m now also loving living in the city these days. Can’t wait to follow along on your adventures!
We are still learning as we go along, but we really love having our own garden. It’s super convenient! Look forward to getting to know you better!
Hey girl! Stopping by from the Blog Life group! I’m so excited to have found your blog & can’t wait to follow along!
XO
Amy
Thanks for the comment! I’m excited about this new group. Look forward to getting to know you!
I think of myself as “semi-crunchy” at this point in time, but I would totally love to be self sustaining someday. I think it’s so awesome! Can’t wait to follow along more!
Hahaha semi-crunchy, love it! I’m definitely just getting started, but it takes baby steps! Look forward to getting to know you better!
Love your pictures! And, what a great dream – happy to hear you are making it happen.
Thanks for the support!
I love that you work at a therapeutic riding center! I’ve always been interested in working with one in my area. Excited to read more of your blog! 🙂
Thanks! I volunteered with the program since I was about 8 and when a job came open I jumped on it. It’s so much fun 🙂 Thanks for visiting!
Yay for new babies!!! We used therapeutic riding on patients, it is amazing to witness the change:)
Congrats on your new baby also! Isn’t it just the most amazing thing ever??
oh my gosh! That lifestyle looks so fun! I grew up in a smaller town in Georgia and thought I lived a “country” lifestyle. But living on a farm like that sounds like a dream! I can’t wait to follow along and learn more!
Thank you! Just hopped over to your blog, loved reading your about me. I’m so jealous that you get to stay home….I’m still working on that 😉 Look forward to getting to know you better!
haha! I am just now seeing this! I do so love being able to stay home. But it definitely comes with some sacrifices. They are well worth it in the end though.
How crazy! My Husband’s name is Dustin, we live on a cattle ranch in the Texas panhandle. He loves horses, obviously. 😉
I love the name yall chose for your Son, how neat.
I’m also glad that you joined the blog life group. I can’t wait to get to know you better! 🙂
Small world! I have really enjoyed following you on Instagram over the last couple of weeks. I’m so glad I stumbled upon you & get to be part of this group! Can’t wait to see where this all leads 🙂
